Center-based ABA means your child works on communication, daily living, learning and play goals at a clinic, usually 25 to 40 hours a week. Children up to 7 attend the Maryland Heights clinic and children up to 13 attend South County. Cigna, Aetna, Medicaid, United and Blue Cross Blue Shield plans are accepted with an ASD diagnosis, and the wait from request to first session is roughly 2 to 4 weeks.

Your BCBA turns the assessment into goals, and the weekly schedule is built around them. Most plans draw on six areas.
Talking with parents and siblings, asking for things and answering.
Getting dressed, eating and tidying up.
Habits that prepare a child for school-style learning.
Toilet training and looking after personal needs.
Picking activities, sharing and playing near other children.
Parents can follow progress in our secure app.
Targets come from your child’s individualized plan, written by a BCBA.
Therapists use positive reinforcement and a steady routine, with other children nearby.
Data is recorded during each session, and your BCBA reviews it and changes the plan when needed.
A clinic gives your child a dedicated setting, steady routines and contact with other children. Data from every session goes to your BCBA, who reviews it and adjusts the plan.
Center-based therapy happens at the clinic. School-based support is a separate service, covered on the school readiness page.
