Ages Up to 13: Room for School-Age Children

Where our Maryland Heights clinic stops at age 7, this clinic keeps going to 13. That makes it the place for a child who is already in elementary or middle school.

Other children

Center-based care includes time around peers, which matters more as children get older.

School support

Our school-based therapists work alongside teachers in partner districts. See school readiness support.

Independence

Self-care and daily living goals grow with your child.

From Intake Request to First Session

The path is the same at both clinics: intake forms, funder approval, a BCBA assessment, a written plan, a 6-month authorization that usually takes 2 to 4 weeks, then sessions on Kennerly Road. The numbered version is on the Maryland Heights page.

For a school-age child, have the diagnostic evaluation ready. The intake request asks you to upload it.

Insurance at South County: Aetna, Cigna, Medicaid, United and Blue Cross Blue Shield. Your child needs an ASD diagnosis for insurance to apply. Questions about your own plan? Our team at (888) 739-5556 can look into it.
